The municipality of Eksjö, population approx. 17.000, is situated on the highlands of Småland.

Eksjö is best known for it´s unique wooden buildings and it´s military traditions.

Eksjö and the part of the town called the Old Town has been awarded one of the internationally aclaimed Europa Nostra Diplomas for 1997.
