Eksjö Museum has three main exhibitions:
Eksjö through the centuries reflects the town’s history from the 1400s.
The Museum of military history in Småland reveals another side of idyllic Småland, one where the province suffered the ravages of war.
The Albert Engström exhibition presents a noted Swedish artist and satirical cartoonist.
There are also temporary exhibitions about cultural history and displays of contemporary Swedish art. The museum garden is an oasis in the centre of the Old Town, with a herb garden and a venue for music and theatre.
In the old town of Eksjö lies the Aschan House, a stately home from the turn of the last century. Daily tour in English at 4 PM (20/6-20/8 2016) Admission 50 SEK. The Aschan house is located at Norra Storgatan 18.
